Baobab Phase 3 and 4 subsea field expansions in Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa.

BCD219 Ltd provided subsea engineering support in the full project cycle from conceptual design and vendor management in subsea equipment design and fabrication, through to offshore support as client representative during installation phases. Phase 3 successfully added four Splitter Production Manifolds (SPMs), one new in field umbilical and riser, and six new Production wells. Phase 4 successfully added five production wells and two water injection wells. Responsible for the development of an optimised well hook-up methodology that significantly reduced the well tie-in times after drilling completion.

Baobab Riser Replacement Project

BCD219 Ltd provided lead subsea engineer support in the successful replacement of two deepwater flexible risers in the Baobab Field; One production riser and one water injection riser.

Banff Re-Instatement Project, UKCS

BCD219 Ltd provided subsea design lead support in the successful re-instatement of the Banff FPSO after a catastrophic mooring failure event where the FPSO broke free of its moorings and damaged the subsea infrastructure. BCD219 Ltd was engaged in all aspects of subsea damage assessment, make-safe methodology and execution, replacement equipment design and fabrication, and was offshore client representative for the installation and commissioning campaign.

Gryphon Area Recovery Project (GARP), UKCS

BCD219 Ltd provided subsea design lead support in the successful re-instatement of the Gryphon FPSO after a catastrophic mooring failure event where the FPSO broke free of its moorings and damaged the subsea infrastructure. Engaged in all aspects of initial incident control, subsea damage assessment, replacement equipment design and fabrication.

Gryphon, Janice and Dumbarton fields, UKCS

BCD219 Ltd provided lead subsea engineer support in a successful series of subsea projects in the various fields owned by Maersk Oil. Successfully tied in an additional eighteen production wells over the course of these projects. Various industry firsts achieved; first multiport selector manifold installed in the North Sea, first modification of a Vetco Xmas tree to include a multiphase flowmeter, first use of drill rig ROV system to carry out installation metrology whilst drilling still in progress, first installation of dual ROV interface panels on Vetco Xmas tree.
